This is just a very short post showing some examples on how you can use image data in your COMSOL Multiphysics simulations.
Image data for material data:

The image data was used for manipulating the stiffness of the design domain, and this shows up in the stresses.

A slightly more complicated procedure is needed for the above; a picture has been used for making new domains. This way you can e.g. evaluate a discrete 0-1 design from a topology optimization simulation result with grey areas.
You can of course also use this for playing around :-)
